Well its really no big deal. andnbsp;I re-worked the brain code camera code and it fixed it. andnbsp;3DC does do some rough deforming to the model when ever you do the bend operation. I’m surprise you didn’t notice the bumpyness at the elevated curves. I thought it was pretty obvious…then again maybe i’m conscience about it…it just didn’t seem andquot;professionalandquot; thats all.
But problem fixed…just re-worked the physics code…its all good! 3DC rules!

Someone please help me out with this one! I’m trying to build a simple race track but am having some problems that is caused by using the bend operation. It cause the track to deform and become bumpy especially on the sections where there is elevation. andnbsp;I cannot seem to by pass this problem with 3DC. andnbsp;Every other sections are fine…its just the elevated and de-elevated areas that are bumpy.
here’s the file demo to see what I mean

Could you post a picture or pictures to show the problem? Flat shaded would be best. And how many faces are in this object?
I can’t help feeling that you are using the wrong tool for this job. When I see a picture I might have a better suggestion.

If you download the working demo, you will see what I mean. It would be hard to see it from screen shots but I will post them anyways.
This where it unusual bumpiness would occur at . At every turning corner or elevation :

Here is the pic of the track model. I did was made a long straight track, using the bend operation, I first bended to right in the top window, and then on the bottom, I bended upwards. andnbsp; This doesn’t look like it has a problem but it really does.

Curving the track left and right will still keep it smooth…but when I bend it upwards or downwards…thats when it acts up. andnbsp; You’ll have to see the demo to understand what I mean.

Ok well once again, I solved my own problems. It appears I can reduce the bumpyness by modifiing the camera view in the game engine. The bumps are still there in the tracks curves, I don’t know why 3DC causes it… but now, I got it to be less noticeable.
You might wanna check that out Richard….its not a big deal, I don’t think there are many modellers who uses 3dc for race tracks!
Life is great.
