3DC825 MSTS LOD Creation

Morn’n Folks,

I’m trying to create custom LOD’s with the MSTS Exporter… I’ve done this before in older versions and it wasn’t a big deal… I created (1) copy of my model and renamed the Main.1 to Main.100 for the first LOD of the model…

I used the [Ctrl-A] and selected the primay part in the "Main" group as I do for every export… I then selected [File/Export/Microsoft Train Simulator] to start the exported… Selected [Yes] to create LOD’s… I selected [YES] to create custom LOD’s and the file exported successfully without complaint… Open the new shape in Shape Viewer – – – and – – – no LOD’s…

What am I missing ??? Anyone ???

Hi Doug,

Yeah – that was me over there as well… I can get LOD’s to work on test models – I can get the LOD’s to work on my tenders – however – something in BOTH my steam locomotives is preventing the LOD’s from working… I sent Richard my model with an issue – I’m hoping he can figure out what is preventing it from working…

I think this is resolved now via the &quot;Rail Sim&quot; group field.
