3DC .X to B3D (blitz) file converter. V1.01

Working on this trouble with Root Group Animations when saving a boned mesh.

At this time Im most certain that its caused by a Bone being used as the Root Node of the Model and not the Mesh.

I Emailed Mark Sibly and asked him for a positive answer on this question, waiting for reply.

Im not sure I can fix this as for as far as I can tell the B3D file format dose not support a Bone as the Root Node.

If this is true,As a tempory fix,Ill proboly make some kind of basic tutorial as to how a mesh should be created with bones so it can fit into or work with the B3D file format.

To the best of my knowledge my converter as far as I know is duplicating the .X file to B3D exactly as it was origanally saved from 3DC.

This dosn’t mean Im not going to give it a good hard try to fix this so that we don’t need to have a guide line to fallow in order to create a B3D Model ( that would not be favorable to me at all ), as for I have come this close , it would be folish of me to close my hands on this and call it quits.

Well for all of you here that use 3DC with Blitz here is a file converter that will get our 3DC models into Blitzes own B3D file format.

STK DX8 to B3D file converter will support……..
.X Object
.X file
.X hierarchy w/bones or object animations.

The only thing that is not supported yet is saving Boned meshes with (Root Group Animations).

There is a .html Help Doc included to help you get going and a few .X models to try it out.

You can get it here…….
