Both RS-Tools and RW_tools (Mike Simpson’s utilities for Railsimulator and Railworks) caused the 3DC installation program to launch. In addition, a program called Quicken for Windows and PhotoStudio also caused the installation program to launch.
However, I now seem to have resolved the problem by allowing the installation program to run its course.

After downloading and installing 3DC8.1.3, other programs on my computer are behaving strangely. When I try to run another program, the 3DC install program begins to run and even if I cancel the installation, it keeps re-launching itself. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour and how can I stop this.

Which programs do this?
Usually this is because they are replacing a DLL/OCX that 3DC is using or perhaps a registry entry. Windows detects it and tries to fix 3DC. At least that is how I understand it.
