3dc and unwrap3d

I don’t have unwrap3d so this is a andquot;shot in the darkandquot; (ok a total guess <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> )

when you do step two and a half (ie import it back into 3DC) is it only the groups that are gone – do you still have the andquot;body partsandquot; there (ie andquot;left_upper_armandquot;,andquot; right_upper_armandquot;) ? if so can’t you just regroup them ? (add a cube to the scene and call it by the new group name then drag you andquot;body partandquot; in the group then delete the cube….) this way you could re-create your original hierarchy.

also – how long did your password take to come through from them (I downloaded the program a few days ago and it does look good – but I am not sure about the andquot;you will receive your registration key from <!– e –>bbolthou@unwrap3d.com<!– e –> within about 4 daysandquot; )

do you think it is worth the $30 ? – I am not sure if is 30 better than 3DC – as 3DC does andquot;the jobandquot; ?

(ps I was going to reply in french – but seeing as you don’t even know andquot;Galloisandquot; ….. andnbsp;;D )

Hi !

I think that unwrap3d is more easier to use to texture models than the 3dc unwrap tool. I want produce some animated .x file for my blitz3d game. How i can combine the two softwares ?

My Method :

1. Model my hierarchy mesh with 3dc, export to .x file
2. Texture the .x file with unwrap3d
3. Animate with 3dc
4. Export to hierachy animated .x model with 3dc.

I’ve a problem after step 2. to step 3. After using unwrap3d, i’ve an .x file. when i import it into 3dc, groups not exists ! Is someone have experimented to use 3dc and unwrap3d in conjunction to produce an animated .x file ?

note that i’ve yet produced some animated .x textured files with 3dc with the 3dc unwrap tool, now i want just include 3dunwrap into the process.

Is it possible to import an .x animated file into 3dc ? (version 6 ?)

Many thanks !

two things….

1/ can’t you animate then texture – rather than texture then animate ?

2/ unwrap3d has a blitz exporter andnbsp;……… ?
