3DC doesn’t directly access the Internet in any way. When you download something via the 3DC Help menu all 3DC does is open your web browser to a specific web location.

I have no idea why it would do that. It shouldn’t. I haven’t written any code to do that. Except for the code that opens a browser to a specific location (for downloads etc.).
Are you sure it is 3DC doing that?

I’m pretty sure it’s 3DC because I have installed ZoneAlarm as a firewall and it asks permission for 3DC to access the internet. I don’t suspect anything sinister on your side but I’m quite curious.

That is kind of strange. andnbsp;I also use ZoneAlarm and I don’t get any messages about 3DC. . .

I have heard about some recent virii and/or trojans that masquerade as an existing application already installed on your PC when trying to andquot;call homeandquot; or otherwise access the web. Some inoculation procedures may be in order.

Sorry for late reply I’ve been on vacation. Checked for viruses with Norton; no infection with any virus. Have to see, if 3DC does it again when I start working next week.

I was starting to think some extremely nasty virus had toasted your PC, cleaned out your bank accounts, and altered your DNA.
Glad to see that didn’t happen. And I hope you enjoyed your vacation (must be nice, getting time off and all).
But keep us (okay, so maybe it’s just me, ‘coz I’m curious and perhaps just a little paranoid) posted on further goings on with ZoneAlarm and/or 3DC.
Okay , so enough with the chit-chat, build something already, so you have to fire up 3DC and see if it still want’s to access the web.
