3DC 8.2.4: Most scripts are not working (GetFace pb)

None of the scripts using GetFace are working on my models.

Open 3DC. Add a cube. Use a script w/ GetFace : no problem.
I open one of my model and use the same script: error at a line where the Face is used.
Reset the scene, add a cube, Still use the same script: same error as above.

Example emailed to support (select blue face, for example).

(No pb w/ 3DC 8.2)

This is with the most recent verson? I can’t reproduce it. It WAs a problem prior to build 1072, but I thought I fixed it in build 1072.

Can you give me a specific script to use? FlattenFace? Is that a good choice?

Even with the example sent?
It looks like some initialization problem as it works on an empty scene just after 3DC start but it doesn’t anymore if I previously loaded one of my models.
Maybe it’s OK now since you just solved a memory leak (bug "3DC 8.2.4 b1072:Washed out colors/Scene details KO").

Yes: 3DCrafter 8.2.4 Build 1072

Yes.
Or mirror group.

It works w/ 3DC 8.2 Build 1600.

I think I know what it is. Several other people have had problems with plug-ins since installing the new version. I think something went wrong with the installation and it needs an uninstall/reinstall.

I’ve installed Paul’s plugins in 2 steps:
<!– m –><a class="postlink" href="http://cid-06b528339820717e.office.live.com/self.aspx/Downloads/3DCPlugins824.zip">http://cid-06b528339820717e.office.live … ins824.zip</a><!– m –>
Then copy of dll’s as, according to Paul, &quot;wrong operation dll’s were included in that setup&quot;.
And registration of these dll’s.

I can (likely not before tomorrow) uninstall everything related to 3DCrafter, install 3DCrafter (without Paul’s plugins) and launch a script.

I’ll call this one resolved, because I am certain it is.

Hopefully you won’t have to resurrect it. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
