3D CAD program

If you wish to use 3D CAD program to create new objects for MSTS, DON’T use AutoCAD’s 3DS export function because of weird problems with andquot;missingandquot; surfaces. TurboCAD’s 3DS export function works. You still have to import 3DS files into 3DC Pro in order to apply textures and to create MSTS files. Also, while inside 3D CAD program, DON’T combine 3D objects into one 3D object before exporting 3D objects to 3DS files. When you import 3DS files into 3DC, click on each 3D object and click on andquot;Optimize Object Geometryandquot; icon BEFORE you do anything to the 3D objects. Jeffrey.
