‘Piper’ and ‘Foundry’ for 6.5.0.5

Yes, I’d like to get these working again, but there is a lot on my plate these days. I have an old version of ‘piper’ and permission to compile it. I’m looking to see if I have the foundry source and permission.

The main problem I have right now is that my development computer is not capable of compiling for 6.6. I’ll have to set up another computer with the development environment.

I’ll add a note to myself to get to work on it.

Richard

I have a PC set up with 6.6 and VB6 if you need it compiled.

Ack! Reports of my demise are rather premature <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>. Still plugging away here on many models that will eventually see the light of day, but family time has encroached in the form of a rather precocious granddaughter.

Let me see where I salted the plugin sources away and decide whether I can move to 6.6 soon. If I can’t I’ll be glad to ship ’em to Richard or Paul for the groups use.

Anybody try VB 2005 Express Edition for compiling plugins yet?

Deanville.

Just so you know… that’s a major sigh of relief you hear… <!– s:-) –><!– s:-) –>

OK, I now have 6.6.10 installed on an XP system. Need to do some checking to see if my older models load. After that I’ll take a stab at compiling the plugins with VB6.

Hmmmm, having a serious texture issue with 6.6.10 at present with 6.5.0 created models, see post in general discussion.

Looks like I’m on 6.6.10! The Foundry and Piper plugins for 6.6.10 may be found at [img:13zrxkn9]http://home.comcast.net/%7Edeanville/[/img:13zrxkn9]

You have obtained GURU status in my opinion. Thank you so much for giving it a shot.

It’s a shame that hardware upgrades have forced our hand this way. I beginning to wonder about my penchant for NVIDIA cards.

Hey, at least if you stick with 6.6 till 7.0 arrives… you know you will have company.

I should mention that in the 6.6.10 capable Piper there’s a check box in the lower left of the window to select whether the rotation point is offset from the ‘center’ of the face (the way it has worked previously) or from the edge of the face’s bounding box.

Thanks to Deanville and all of you for establishing communication and getting this solved. At least we are now able to use 6.6.10 until 3DC 7 arrives.

Charles

hello <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
The version for the 6.6.1.0 isn’t working on the new 6.6.5.7.
Is there the possibility to have a new version of your two great plugins?
I have done 3 big bridges with Foundry and many other objects with piper <!– s8-) –><!– s8-) –> and i need it <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

I’ve talked to Deanville about it. He’s planning to release a version for 6.6.5. It’s just a matter of time.

If Deanville is floating around this is just a gentle nudge about compiling Piper for 6.6.5.x Would be greatly appreciated! <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>
