Shift The group centre for 8.1.6

Thanks Paul.
And Thanks Dom. the script seems to be a far easier way, as you can then use the F7 to repeat it when you have many parts to do.
Now all we need is a script to centre all parts on one main part. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

Is there anyway this script can be made available to use in 8.1.6 please…. Paul??

Shift The group centre to the selection (point/face/edge/object) centre

Hi Peter,

It eventually got converted to an operation and is included with my plugins pack.

Select a point/edge etc and you may see an operation icon with a blue cross on it – give that a try.

I’ve had a few problems with the check box parameter – make sure the default value is off by right clicking on the button first.

If there are temporary problems with Paul’s operation, you can still use the [img:kyz5b8q7]http&#58;//amabilis&#46;com/forumattachments/a/tpc/f/8606019974/m/881107024?r=749108424#749108424[/img:kyz5b8q7]
8.1.x version of the script

thanks found it, I see what you mean about the parameter box, it just does not work. If I tick the box to move the origin, the part moves regardless.
So I have to tick the origin box that comes up down the bottom of the the left hand construction side panel. The part moved back to where it was (should be). Also it does not remember this setting at all? So you have tick the move origin box every time.

what am I doing wrong.

I’m going to have to review this operation, I think it’s just full of bugs at the moment.
