Looks real good! And if I haven’t said thanks lately, thanks again for your advice and help.


This is something I cooked up today. Rendered in POV Ray the model is supposed to be a capital ship.. Kind of a Battleship or borrowing from the old TV show, a battlestar.

I’m still searching for a better texture for it.

This is the last version with fighters included. It was rendered in Giles.

I gave the planet it’s own lightmap (512×512) and changed the colour.
I increased the brightness and contrast of the ship texture by 40% in PSP
Changed the starfield texture to Mod2x and unchecked the mipmapping flag.

Turned the Ray bias down to .06 on the render window.
