I'm having a problem exporting a figure animation in DirectX format. The figure is a single mesh and I followed the tutorial for the ant skeletal animation. The animation is only 25 frames but when I export it I seem to get just one frame of the animation.(whichever frame the figure is posed in when exported)
If I use seperate objects for the different parts of the body it exports ok and I get the full animation. It also exports ok as an MD2 file. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks Bazza |

Not every program can import DirextX skeletal information/animation. What program were you importing it into?

Bazza, have you exported the animation using the context menu? Bye. |

Yes, I,m using the correct menu. I have rotated the model 360 degrees from frames 1 to 24 and left in the original walking animation, when exported I get the rotation but not limb movement. As an experiment I downloaded the ant figure and I get the same results, no limb movement but I can move the ant in any direction or up and down and when exported thats all I get, the directional movement
