How do these look. I am relativly new to designing but trying. Would like some feedback and opinions. The planet backgrounds are done in bryce, the ships and other stuff are done in 3d canvas pro.

Nice Start...which game engine are you using.
What the models look like in 3DC and in the game are usually two different things. Depends what lighting and special effects you use in the game.
When I start a new design I try to get the model with some trial textures into the game setting as soon as possible. Then you can see what if anything needs to be done.

friend is coding game, c and directx 9 sdk, not using a game emgine. Thanks for advice, i havent seen them in game setting yet. I think we will try that.
