I have made a 3DCanvas tutorial for MSTS wich a very simple object : four wheels, one main cube and two rods.
In 3DCanvas, the rods are moving perfect, no problem.
In MSTS, one rod move perfect but the other one is moving very funny :
burrowing the earth ! I have made a lot of trials but I did not find a solution.
Who can help me ?
Here is the 3DCanvas file (called moving):

Many thanks for any help !

This topic should really be in the MSTS area.

I did find some time this evening to check and the problem is not with 3D canvas.

The problem is, as I suggested on my forums, the group you have called Wheels11 needs to be renamed to Wheels1 - this is all I changed.
I added a texture and re-exported the S file.
The model then ran perfectly in MSTS.

I have changed the name Wheels11 into Wheels1... but always the same problem !
Look at the picture ! (rods.jpg)

When you export into MSTS with the Train Simulator Wizard :
In the general attribute what is the wheel arrangement (0-0 2-0 or 2-2 or something else) ?
and are you doing something in the "part identification" ?
It should be very nice if you could send me your 3D Canvas file. How can I give you my email adress ?

I suspect your S file is not getting updated correctly, MSTS must still be looking at an old version.

You need to look inside the consist file to make sure you have the right folder for the eng file and that the eng file points to the correct S file.
Check the date and time of the S file in the trainset folder, make sure it is the latest one you exported.
Also try the right click option to export to MSTS.

The only change needed is from Wheels11 to Wheels1

The whole model must be covered by a texture or the export will fail.

If all else fails, click on my name next to this post - there should be an e-mail address you can send to.

Thank you for the help but I think it is not a problem with MSTS : I already made two diesel engines with rods with TSM (Train Sim Modeler) and there is no problem. Ill try it again with 3DC.
Meanwhile I have seen that you went to Kuju to see the new Railsimulator ! I hope it will be a good (The Good One ?) simulator.
I hope that you will build a plugin to export with Sketchup to the new Railsimulator. Do you ?
If you have time, have a look to Sketchup / 3D Warehouse : under "church" you will see under "Goesgen" name (my nickname) a pretty bavaria church : it was my work theese days !
(no rods moving !)
