I needed to create double-sided 2D planes but I found out that the Double Side Plug-in is missing in 3DC 7.1.1.1. What's the best way to create a TGA image file with alpha channel and use it as material for double-sided 2D planes?

There isn't actually a double-side plug-in in 3D Canvas. That's a 3rd party plug-in.

Paul - I installed the Plugins 7.1.1.1 after uninstalling the previous, the files installed in the correct plugins-folder but they dont show in the menu of 3DC. What can be the cause?

A few things to try...

Check the tools/options to see if they appear in the list and are enabled properly.

If not, let me know the dates of one of the dll's and I'll check it is the right version.

You could also try uninstall again, and make sure the old dll's are properly deleted from the plugins and operations folders.

I checked in the Tools/Options, the Plugins are not listed; I uninstalled them and reinstalled - they are in the Plugins-folder resp. Operations-folder but still don't show in 3DC and I miss them dearly. Maybe another suggestion Paul? DoubleSide7.dll has the date stamp December, 25th 2007.

Those are the correct ones, perhaps they need 7.1.1.2.

The double side plugin and operations with that date both appear on my copy of 3DC.

Paul, you were right. They need 7.1.1.2. I had thought there would be nothing in this upgrade for me, so I didn't download. Now all plugins and additional operations show.
