Richard, why not add an animation camera option where you can define a range within which the camera would shake violently as the animated sequence goes on. It would be as easy as adding a set of random value for the x, y, z positions of the camera for each sequence.

The resulting effect would be very dramatic when used with the "blur" option. In a race-like sequence, it would make you feel as if you are riding something on a rough surface or flying through a turbulent air-flow. In a static sequence, it would render the scene as if there's an earthquake.
