I'd like to see a plugin or script that would center the axis of an object by moving the axis to the object, instead of moving the object to the axis.(Shift Centre on Selection)

Ah, good point. I realize that I sometimes have an object perfectly placed and then notice that the axis is somewhere 20 meters underground... If I use the center operation on the object it quickly goes on a walkabout. That's got to be a really hard item to code for though.

This is basically the shift centre on selection operation, with 2 extra lines to move the group afterwards.
This is just version 0.1
Select the object, Face/faces, Edge/edges or Point/points to centre the group on
(Edge doesn't always work)
NOTE ANY OTHER OBJECTS IN THE SAME GROUP WILL BE SHIFTED BY THE SAME AMOUNT AS THE GROUP CENTRE.

Paul, That was quick! It works great for my purposes. I'm actually starting to get the hang of 3DC. Maybe you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you very much! Mike Adams

Here is Version 1.0
- Fixed the Edge selection bug
- Now all other objects and child groups are unaffected
However, any animations related to the group or its children will be totally fubar

Hey Paul, Just used it and it is great. Something I have needed for quite a while. Bill
