I had imported a model from version5 3DC (the one in the UKTS rolling stock creation forums which runs nicely).

The imported model had a couple of spots with missing textures, so I retextured them. I then ran the plugin checks for missing textures and receive the message that there are no missing textures.

I exported the model to MSTS and got the message that the export cannot be completed since there are missing textures.

I reran the plugins and got the message "no missing textures" but to be on the safe side I also ran the texture untextured plugin.

Tried to export to MSTS again and got the same message that the export cannot be completed since there are missing textures?

I'm puzzled.

Mike.

Off hand, I don't know what the cause is. Can you either send me the model (support@amabilis.com) or direct me to the download?

I have had the same problem, when exporting to MSTS there are the two options (Cant remember them at the moment)but if you choose the first option only it will start the export then report That it cant because part or all of the model is untextured, but if you choose both options it will export. I havnt tried it in the latest version of 3DC but 6.6.5.9 did it and I think 10.

A bit late getting back, I was away. Thanks Sars, I tried this and it works. This is something that Decapod may have to look into to get things working a bit smoother.

FYI: The MSTS Exporter was written by Richard (author of 3D Canvas) not Decapod (Paul Gausden).

funnily enough - when I find the time - I may write a new MSTS export that flattens the hierarchy (more efficient), allows more primitive states and makes use of the new env and bump map shaders.

(Though I suspect it won't be ready next week)

I have this fixed for version 6.6.5.13 and 7.0.0.1. Both will be released shortly.

It may well be a race between me and Paul as to who can write a new MSTS exporter first. He'll probably win. But you never know. ;-)
