Just purchased pro version yesterday, downloaded
ver. 8.1 build 1267. Installed fine but hangs up
when I run the program (hangs up during loading
process). However if I turn the UAC off completly the program works fine. I'm running
Win 7 64. Any suggestions? I really dont want to turn UAC off everytime I use 3d Canvas.

This is an interesting one. Up until this version UAC had to be ON for 3D Canvas to run. And now it has to be off.

I wonder if uninstalling/re-installing will help.

Did you install over an existing copy of 8.1 or is this a fresh install?

I did a fresh install and what I ended up doing was installing using all users per the readme and everything worked fine with uAC on. Double
clicking the installer exec and tring to run 3DC
would freeze while loading with UAC on. However,
thats history as I just installed 8.1.1 by double clicking the installer exec and it installed fine, loaded fine and runs fine with UAC on. Keep up the great work your doing a fine job. Now I just have to figure out what Im doing for I am new at this. Im into train sims and your tutorials are great....... Thank You Ed

Maybe it was the uninstall/re-install that fixed it.

Was an older version of 3D Canvas 8 installed on this system before you installed build 1267?

I'll call this one resolved unless SP9 tells me otherwise.
