We were in Argentina a few years ago on vacation and took a driving trip from Tucuman north to Salta and further north to San Salvador de Jujuy and Humahuaca. Along the main highway, there was an abandoned railroad. I have a few digital pictures of it.

Would you know anything about this line, whether it connected to anything in Bolivia (or Chile), and how long was it abandoned? Is there a fan site for Argentine railroads? (I know of one for Chile,
