I was unhappy that it took me so long to provide support for Vista. It wasn't properly available until five or six weeks after Vista was released.

But, I am happy that I managed to provide Vista support for anyone who purchased in the last four and a half years.

I think it's understandable that I was a bit slow at providing Vista support considering Amabilis Software is just me.

But, then there are big companies like Compaq.

I have a Compaq notebook computer (4025CA) that is about a year and a half old. The model was still available for purchase a year ago.

This computer has all of the features required to run Windows Vista. In fact, it has the all of the features required for the Aero interface.

Compaq has stated that they have not intention of supporting Windows Vista with this "older" computer.

It seems that if you want to run Windows Vista, you have to purchase a new computer.

To me, this is absolutely horrible support. Before I buy my next computer, I will definitely check to see who supports their products properly.

I guess that's a "rant" isn't it? Smile

That's because Compaq is now Hewlett Packard.

Hewlett Packard does not spend a lot of time looking back to the Compaq days. Though Compaq is still an active brand, it is rapidly being phased out and replaced by HP branding, hence the kind of disappearing support you see for items that say Compaq on them.

... about big companies, AMD / ATI doesn't care about 3DC and the right click pop-up menu speed with anti-aliasing problem (unless I missed some very recent changes on this matter).
After using 3 generations of ATI cards, my end of april upgrade will include a 8800 video card.

I still dont see google with a fully supported version of sketchup 6 for vista (still says 2000/xp) and tbh it wasnt that long waiting for 3DC to work. Good work beating google Smile
