Actually, it is a problem. The upgrade to "premium" costs nearly 2x as much as if you bought the right version in the first place. So instead of paying $50 at the time of purchase I have to pay $95 to upgrade.

Compare this to 3D Canvas. If you buy the Plus version by mistake, you can buy an upgrade to Pro for $34.95. That's a total of $69.90 compared to the $69.95 I charge for 3D Canvas Pro. You actually save 5 cents by buying them separately.

I can see charging a little bit more for the upgrade, but twice as much?

Yes, but you are lucky you do not live in Australia where the upgrade is not available. Clicking on the Windows Anytime Upgrade says, sorry about that, but this feature is not available in your Country. If you want to upgrade to Ultimate you can go down to your shop and buy the full copy (or words to that effect). :-)

That is a drag. But, don't be TOO unhappy. Here it costs $267 CDN for the Ultimate "Windows Anytime Upgrade", but $299 CDN for the package in the store. So, you're saving $30 CDN but in the end you only have one copy of Windows Vista.

Its £120 give or take in england. Original being £199 but you could probably get an OEM version cheaper at about £100.

199.00 GBP = 454.733 CAD !

I think I will wait for my next computer before I get Vista (unless it's a Mac....)
