I have just installed a program from www.onspeed.com (strangly enough called "onspeed") that has doubled my internet connection speed. The way it does this (I think )is when I enter a web page the page gets diverted to onspeed and is then compressed before it is sent on to me, there is some loss of picture quality and there is very little, if any, speed increase for downloading files but for an average web page I am getting it loaded in about half the time.
Anyway I just thought I would let all you folks who, like me, are unable to get broadband about it. It costs �1.99 / $3.49 / 2.99� per month and my first impressions are very good.

Richard how about a "nothing to do with 3dc forum" for gossip/joke/ other news/off topic/ etc ?

I really like the idea of an 'off topic' forum.
I was using Tree(d) a while ago and wondered afterward if we are in danger of becoming what I call 'Flat-Pack' modellers. You know, press a button and everything is done for you. Just the sort of post that would fit in an 'off topic' forum.
