With a word of caution, as this site contains images of **nudity** you have been warned, for the human or homnid modelers, here is a link to a site with a huge amount of resources:
Figure Drawing and Portraits

The site has a lot of links to anatomy study, esp human figures, hands, heads, torsos, poses, books, even a few 3D modeling references. While a lot is geared to 2D art, some caters to 3D or total figure.

Quite a few of the links are broken, though some can be found by chopping down the url, but there is enough there still to keep one focused for quite a while.

My only complaint about the site is there are few references to modeling clothing/costumes.

Hope this reference may help someone.

Nice site. Wish I could draw like that.

Re modelling clothes etc. I found visiting some of the fancy dress sites a big help.
Most of the costumes are shown worn by humans, so you get a good idea on how clothes hang on the body.

Thats how I made my Grim Reaper model, but animating the cloak was a bit of a problem.

here's another good resourse, has a lot of textures, photo images, tutorials, some free 3D downloads of you need a quick object or character
http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/freestuff.asp
the 3D part of the site is geared mostly toward 3ds max and lightwave, some dfx. 2D, I've used their solar system textures to build a quick planet on a couple of occasions. Lot of good free stuff there.
