3D Canvas 6.6.5.10 is now available for download: Download 3D Canvas 6.6.5.10

In this release:

o) 32 bit indices are now supported. If your video card supports 32 bit indices you can now have objects with many more faces than previously.

o) Graceful recovery when an object exceeds the maximum number of faces.

o) Fixed bug where selecting a hierarchy would result in lost materials.

o) Fixed many bugs in the "Reduce" operation. It is now much more reliable than in previous releases.

o) Selecting a hiearchy is now somewhat faster.

o) Added the ability to have a revision number higher than 9. Saved me from having the dreaded 6.6.6 release.

I'm really liking this one.

I really like this version. It's the first updated version I've been using since 6.6.1.0 and there are noticable improvements I've recognised and I have to say I am very impressed. I haven't noticed much in the way of performance but I'm not so bothered about that, but crucially this is the most bug free and reliable version I've used thanks to the fixing of operation adjustments on textures (something I'd always found to be particularly flaky), colinear edges and the edit control in orthographic view.

Like I said this is the first update since 6.6.1.0 I've used and I know these bugfixes came from preceding 6.6.5.x releases but this really is a marked improvement over 6.6.1.0 and I'm very pleased. Cheers for all the hard work put towards making this such a great release. :thumbs up:

There is one problem I've noticed. When drawing a selection in the texture cropping window the texture has a white flicker. Having said that I've just noticed 6.6.5.11 has been released (typical after I download and install .10 lol)

I think this one is ready to go over from my Notebook to my main PC.

I've noticed the flicker also. It doesn't happen all the time for me. Fortunately it doesn't seem to cause any actual problems. But, it is a bit annoying to me that I haven't figured it out yet.
