3D Canvas 6.6.5.4 is now available for download: Download 3D Canvas 6.6.5.4

Unfortunately plug-ins and operations for previous releases will need re-compiling for this release.

The main benefit of this release is significantly improved performance, especially when multiple views are displayed.

I just found another efficiency improvement for the next release. I'm really quite pleased. An example on my notebook computer:

5000 face model, lots of translucency, five active views.

6.5.1.0 - 26 fps
6.6.5.3 - 7 fps
6.6.5.4 - 24 fps
6.6.5.5 - 29 fps

I also found a bug that was causing a stall between when you select a face and when you can start dragging it. This is also causing a delay betwen when you release the mouse button and when the edit control is displayed.

This has been a problem since 6.6.5.0 and will be fixed in the next release.

Just downloaded and had a quick "play", and it certainly seems a lot faster. Thanks, Richard.

I,ve had a couple of problems with 6.6.5.4, since spending more time with it, but I've noticed that 6.6.5.5 has now been released! I'll give that version a go first.
