Unfortunately, I am on holidays right now and can't test these versions properly. There haven't been many changes, so I don't expect there to any significant problems.

o) Updated MSTS export

The MSTS exporter has had some significant changes. The exporting of Distance Levels (LODs) is now much easier to use. There are no longer any complicated special requirements to ensure that the LODs work in MSTS.

The automatic creation of distance levels works quite differently now. Again, there is no longer any special requirements. In the past you had to move the "main" parts of the model to the main group. This is no longer necessary. The exporter will remove any objects smaller than .5 meters in width/height/depth at 100 meters and any objects smaller than 2 meters in width/height/depth at 400 meters. I may make these numbers an option in the future. (actually, I'm thinking that it should be object volume not dimensions.That way railings etc will be removed-I'll think more on this)

Of course it is always better to create custom distance levels. This is also much easier. The only requirements for the successive distance levels are that groups must be static, objects cannot be moved between groups and no new materials can be introduced.

Expect to see many improvements to the MSTS export in the coming weeks.


o) TrainSim Modeler Import

The TrainSim Modeler importer has been updated and is now included in the release.

I'd like to "officially" release these. Right now I've only posted them here in the forum. Once I get the "OK" from enough people I'll release them to the rest of the 3D Canvas using public.

This is with 7.0.1.0. As I am going on a holiday myself I am glad one version is working for me to take it with me and have some fun but I've got no time to install and test 6.6.5.14.

I haven't seen strange things with the .14 For me is ok.
