Hi all,

There was a problem with the 3D Canvas Plus code validation so I had to release this new version. So you if you have 3D Canvas "Plus" (or were re-issued a new 6.0 license code) you'll need this version to ensure that 3D Canvas doesn't complain about invalid license codes.

I know this is probably a very dumb question, but I'm just trying to make sure I did the right thing. Is this version, 6.0.2.2 for plus only? or is this for plus/pro as well. I'm a pro version user and thought since there was a fix for an obscure bug that I'd download this version of 6.0.2, which I did, and had the problem of the codes. thanks again for you quick attention to detail Richard and sorry once again for being a problem. No sooner did I post my code problem , I refreshed and check the new post from you to find a fix for the code. Your quick support of 3DC never ceases to amaze me.

6.0.2.2 is a general release not just for Plus users.

Richard, I have a question. When I installed 6.0.2.2, I now have a folder in My documents, just as you stated, with I believe media sub folder in it.  In the Amabilis folder in my hard drive, there is a media subfolder with textures in it. Do I need to copy my texture files to both files? Thats alot of stuff to have in two places. I guess I'm alittle confused on the role of the new folder in my documents. Can anyone help me out here?

No you don't. You can now do all of your work in your "My Documents\3D Canvas" folder. But if you have anything documents stored in the"Program Files\3D Canvas" you may want to move them to your "My Documents\3D Canvas" folder.

The "Program files\3D Canvas\Media" folder is just there to be a "source" for mult-user systems so that each user gets a copy of the default libraries. Once you move your existing documents out of the "Program Files\3D Canvas" folder you can pretend it isn't there.

There were 25,000 downloads of 3D Canvas 6.0.2.x in its first week of release. That appears to be pretty standard these days for 3DC. Around 100,000 people download 3DC in the first month after an announced release. I only announce new release 3 or 4 times a year. Usually I announce when there is a point release or higher, but I announced 6.0.2.x due to the multi-user support, and to get people using the trickled out functions.
