o) Load Times

3D Canvas now loads slightly faster than in the previous release. This project to improve load times has reduced the load time for 3D Canvas from 85 seconds to 10 seconds on my NVIDIA notebook, and down from 12 seconds to 6 seconds on my ATI notebook.

o) Texture Memory Usage

The amount of memory used by textures has been reduced.

o) Vista User Account Control Warning

A warning is displayed for Vista users indicating that User Account Control must be on to run 3D Canvas. I hope I can figure out how to get it working under Vista with UAC off. There's something in the Visual Studio 6 installation that makes 3DC work with UAC off. I just have to track the changes made by Visual Studio 6 to see if I can replicate the necessary change in the 3DC installation. I started doing it, but goofed up somewhere. I'll have to wipe a couple of test computers and start again.

So it is arrived the time to do the upgrade from my current 6.6.5.16 to the 7.0.x version for the RS plugin ... but i have a small problem.. i don't know if is still to be updated but the link to buy the upgrade to the 7.x version doesn't works...
It says:
"Found
The document has moved here."

That explains a lot. I got some purchases from RegNow, which never happens normally.

Thanks for the new release. I'm eager to use the KRS export.
Is the duplicate object bug still here? If it is I'll switch to 7.0.4 when I'm almost sure I won't need duplication.

About UAC, with 7.0.4.0, is my understanding correct that there is a warning when UAC is off but 3DC works with UAC off.

I don't know if is only a problem of converted objects (from 6.6.5.16) but when i use the material sampling tool, the texture of the selected object.. disappear...

I believe I have the texture problem fixed. I'll be releasing a new version shortly.
