Hi All,

3D Canvas 6.0.2.0 is now available: http://www.3d-canvas.com/downloads/3DCanvas.zip

This version addresses a couple of issues:

1) It should resolve the slowdowns with Windows 9x/Me.

2) It now supports installation on mult-user systems.

Note that in this release all "user documents" (including textures and libraries) are installed in a folder called "3D Canvas" in your "My Documents" folder.

Also, take care to save 6.0.2.0 documents to a new file name (File Menu -> Save As). There is NO way to open a 6.0.2.0 document in an earlier release.

A few of you (less than a dozen) will find that your license code doesn't work with 6.0.2.0. I'll be re-issuing license codes to those affected by this. If you have this problem, and I don't send you a license code first, please send me an email (support@amabilis.com). I'll be issuing new license codes in the next couple of days.

So is this the "real" version or still a beta?

Woops. This is the "real" version. I've corrected it now.

Sorry in advance, but once again, I need to know..... do the plug-ins and scripts need to be re-downloaded for the new version? Or can I just put them in a file and copy them into the new version?

I believe that all downloaded plug-ins and scripts should continue to work.

The easy way to tell is to look at this page: http://www.amabilis.com/mediadownloads.htm#Scripts. If there isn't a new version listed there then the old plug-ins/scripts work.

Hi Richard,

can this version be installed alongside a 6.0.1.x version?

Cheers,
Alex

Unfortunately not. In fact it can't be installed alongside 5.7a either.

I just got 3DC v6.0.2.0 installed it is Excellent to say the least. I've only played with a few of the operations so far, but am extremely pleased with the performance enhancements you've made... ;D

Keep up the great work!
