Hi All,

I had a very busy summer. Unfortunately, as most of you probably noticed, it wasn't working. But, that's soon to be corrected.

I had a lot of non-Amabilis things to do, including an extended trip with my family and a move.

I recently wiped my computer and re-installed in order to correct a few problems I was having. Somehow, my emails didn't back up, even though I'm absolutely sure that I did it. That means that I have lost all of my email history, plus quite a few that I received recently and hadn't got to yet. If anyone has an unanswered email, can they resend it?

I'm thinking that it might be smarter to make support be non-email based. I get so much spam it's unbelievable. Perhaps the forum is the best way. I'm just not sure. Any suggestions?

Tomorrow, I get Internet hooked up at home. I'm quite excited. It will be the first time in a long time that I've had a reliable Internet connection. It's going to make my life simpler for certain. Hopefully I won't waste too much time on YouTube. :-)

I guess that's all the latest news.

I'm back at work full time starting either the 16th or 17th. Hopefully I can get the next version out quickly. It's been too long.

Richard

yes I would suggest that full web based support via forums would be best, I like it that way as I can answer a lot my questions without asking. Just read what others ask.
I would suggest that you have a couple Mods to look after the forums for you and insure that anything deemed urgent is dealt with.

That means opening up the forums to people who have not purchased 3D Canvas Plus/Pro etc. I've been considering doing that anyhow.

In the past, I found having an "open forum" very frustrating, which is why I restricted access. But, maybe people are more aware now of what is an appropriate forum posting and what is not. If I am ruthless in moderation, maybe it work out well.

I think you are right that I need a moderator or two to do this. I can be more available to moderate myself than in the past, but I'm not here every day.

Ok, yes it something your prob got try and see how it works. Our TSNZ forum has a members area and a public area, if you want call it that.
Surely only those that have a interest will use it. I do, as I am learning to use a whole new package after being used to TSM. I still find I try and do things the TSM way, habit is hard to break.
I have time to learn after all, its the remembering. Since my stroke I tend to write a lot down then lose or not know what the note means. ;-) Eek

I am sure theres many that logon each day, as I do and have a grasp of 3dc.

regards peter

My current thinking is that making the forums public is the best solution. But, I'll keep thinking.
