I'm having exceptional difficulties with getting on the Internet these days.
One would expect that Internet access in the capitol city of country that is a member of the European Union would guarantee good access. It doesn't unfortunately. Sometimes I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 k/minute go through. It makes downloading emails nearly impossible.
My apologies to anyone who hasn't got a response yet to their questions. I'm trying.
As an example, it is taking approximately 1 minute per email to download. I have 3 or 4 thousand waiting for me. That means I have to stay connected for around 3 days. But, of course I get kicked off every 5 to 10 minutes.
I don't think there is anything that can be done unfortunately. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that somebody important will have problems and actually do something about it.
Funny... I told the manager of a place with a "hot spot" that the Internet didn't work properly. She told me that she had no number to call to get it fixed. I also called the main service provider here "Bulgaria Telecom Company" who provides this horrible service and they did nothing. I don't think anyone really cares if it works. All they care about is being able to say "hot spot". I have tried about a dozen places and not one works right now. Until a few days ago there was one place that worked, and now it is hopelessly broken.
I return home to Canada in two weeks. I do NOT want to leave emails until then, but I'm not sure what to do.
I'm still having lots of problems. It's almost impossible. I found one place where the Internet works, but I can't get or send emails due (I guess) their firewall.
