I'm wondering if KRS exporter can be made backwardly compatable to 3DC 6.5.0.10. I am stuck with using ver 6.5.0.10. The problem is that with later versions of 3DC, such as the 3DC 7.X series I have such a horrendous slow down of the group selection tool that it renders 3DC almost impossible to use. This subject was posted in a previous forum and although other people have had this problem no solution was found since Amablis cannot reproduce the problem. (I have dual NVidea 7900GS on a P5 SLI motherboard with the latest drivers in Windows XP. I also had this same problem with NVidea 5600 on a P4 motherboard ).

I have made a large number of models for MSTS and would like to upgrade them and export them to KRS when it becomes available so now that its been announced that the KRS exporter will be for 3DC ver 7 its got me very concerned. I believe I'd be eligible for the upgrade to ver 7 but it would be no problem buying it if I have to except that I've no guarentee that the group selection tool will work. I would be upset if I bought it and still had the problem which "can't" be fixed.

I won't be making the plug-in available for earlier versions of 3D Canvas. But, I have some ideas on how to improve the performance of the Group Selection Tool.

I've been meaning to work on the Group Selection Tool. Unfortunately, it's not at the top of my "To Do" list yet.

Come to think of it, I think I may have already worked on this. I'll have to check.
