I am using 3Dcanvas 7.1.1.3 Since the mk1 upgrade I have not been able to get the wheels on my railcars to rotate. I usually use a default solebar and bogie setup as most of my railcars are from the 1885 era when the railcars were 33ft to 36ft . I used this solebar and bogie setup before the upgrade.
I have made up the blueprints the same as before the upgrade, the only difference being in the mass and the height.. Anybody having the same problem or has anybody any suggestions.
I havent enquired at the RailSimulator help yet as the last inquiry took almost a month to get a answer back

Hi

I am using 7.1.2 and have had that problem with a diesel, but have pretty much blamed rail sim (and its upgrade) so far!

I did get the front bogie wheels working by re-entering the bogie information and renaming the parts in Canvas with rail sim object names. (bo01 for the bogie and wh01 and wh02 for the wheels). the only way I could get the back bogie wheels to work, was to animate them in Canvas and then enter that animation in the blue print and reference the animation id in the rear bogie blueprint. Its a bit clumsy, but it did work. I suppose I should be able to use the same bogie blueprint as the front and just reverse it in the engine blueprint, but not sure this can be done yet.

At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to get an engine fan to go faster in the sim!

Hope the above helps.

Dependent on the shape of the fan, an effect of double speed could be achieved by placing two fans concentrically and rotating one in the reverse direction.

Might be worth a try

Seem to have sorted the fan by making the animation in Canvas very fast, (4 frames set at 12 per second or more). Looks ok - ish, there are effects where it looks like the fan is going backwards and forwards, but I notice the RS ones do as well.
