Hello,
I have maked a model in 3DC and with the trainworkstool imported in railsim, works great.

I have looked by the example models in railsim for nighttextures en found one, .igs imported in 3DC so I can see what they have done.

In mine model with the same settings I get no nighttextures in railsim and the settings are the same as in the example model.

Who can help me out, there is no tutorial for nighttextures (howto)

with friendly regards
HansT

That's why I have struggled for two days.
Though it's realy simple.

Make a new group, I give it the name night.
make a window that consists of one face and four points. Place a texture on that face, under properties of that window fill under Railsim in the name: AddAText
AddATex is called a shader.
Give the object a name: name_night
The group with the object must be placed in the main group.
Thats all. Roll Eyes

If you have more windows, merge these windows with the first one so you have always one object.

I'll hope you can now have light in the darkness.

I'll hope you can follow me, I am not so good in english.

Ok Hans I can follow that, how close to the main model did you place the windows and was it in front of or behind the main windows

Danke HansTol für die Antwort.
Thanks HansTol for your answer.

Nur eine kleine Frage :
Was nennen Sie "group" ? Ist es eine Gruppe
in 3DC oder nur die Erstellung von einem Objekt ?

Just a little question :
What are you calling a group ? Is this a group in the hierarchy of 3DC or just creating an object ?

Danke für Ihre Antwort.
Thanks for your answer.

You must name the group, ......._fx_night
The objects name can have every name you want.
Else the object will appear in the daylight to.

Greetings HansT
