In gmax, an object can be rotated about the required axis to whatever angle, which is displayed simultaneously.

3DC doesn't appear to have an equivalent. One has to use the little gizmos to change the angle of something and there is no easy way to read how many degrees the object is from its original position.

Or, is possible that I'm missinging something here?

Anyone with a pointer?

The weekend is coming--more work with 3DC.

Cheers!

Hi,

There 3 ways (at least) to do this:
1) Use the edit control: you'll see the angle value changing while rotating the object.
The axis of the object will move with the object.
2) Use the shift operation: the object will rotate but not the axis of the object (bug maybe?)
3) Use the "orientation" fields from the object properties (right click properties).
The axis of the object will move with the object.
