It turns out that for shadows, Rail Simulator requires not only that you name everything right and use the right shader, but also have a named material that starts with "shadow".
3D Canvas doesn't support named materials, but in the next release of the exporter 3D Canvas will automatically create an appropriate name for the material. I tested this today and it worked fine. The next version should be out early next week. |
