I started this in a new thread so it can be seen better by others. I'm still having problems with the Face Split plugin. When I try to use it I still occasionally get the Subscript out of range error but otherwise, nothing appears to happen. From some of the odd artifacts that occur I'm sure something has happened but I don't get a Face Split group in the hierarchy. I think something is generated but it's not named and doesn't show up in the hierarchy but does sometimes show up in the model (you can delete the original surface and one remains in the display but not labelled and not selectable) and is usually the harbinger of a crash. I installed the latest version from your website but I'm still having a problem.

I'm getting the same problem here - I'll look into it today some time.

For other plugin users there is also a major bug in the rod animator.

I'll put out a new release once I fix the face split problem.
