Another script to Mirror groups and sub-groups
The cylinder is a child of the cube, which is a child of the sphere. The cube and cylinder groups are both rotated. I selected the cube on the left and ran the script. mirror.jpg (19 Kb, 115 downloads) |

Thanks Paul, this is going to be most useful
In your Shape fixer program, you have an option to show very small polys (by "raising" them up). Is there any chance that a plugin could be written for Canvas to do the same thing? I always seem to end up with a couple in my models, and actually tracking them down can be very difficult. Cheers, Kevin |

Kevin - the Weld to Range Plugin should do the job for you.
Select the Hierarchy from the main group and run the plugin with a value of 0.002 (2mm) |

There are one or two bugs with the last one I posted - this works better for more complex shapes.

I'd used the "weld to range" plug-in, but for some reason it would never pick up the offending polys (presumably caused by using a Boolean cut).
From what I remember, the polys had a size of 0. Could this be why the "weld to range" plug-in didn't pick them up? Kevin |
