There really needs to be a less opaque way in the scripting/plugin API to move groups and objects to other groups.

Using SetParent and AddChild don't seem to work for moving objects around from group to group, and I really don't want to have to recreate new copies of the objects and groups that I want to move, because the results will be really messy with lots of old "delete me" objects and groups cluttering up the hierarchy panel.

Am I missing something here? Has anyone successfully used AddChild and/or SetParent to move objects from group to group?

I do this myself in the Train Simulator Wizard. To be honest, I forget how I do it. I think the source is provided as an example though. If it isn't obvious in the code I can figure it out for you.
