I got tired of splitting faces from objects with cut and paste then adjusting the new group coordinates back to 0.0

The first plugin lets you select one or more faces, run the plugin and does the above steps - and also retains the texture mapping.

The other step I wanted to speed up was to make the back faces on objects.
Normally this involves Select object or faces, Copy, Paste, Invert and set position and merge objects - the second plugin does this in one step.
