Deanville,
I've been missing the Piper plugin since I updated to 3D Canvas 6.6 Frown It's a brilliant and indispensable plugin.

Any chance of it being made availible for 6.6? Or even being turned into an operation like Decapods Double side, Flare extrude etc?

Yours grovellingelingly

Mark,

I'm glad you find the plugin useful, but I don't plan on moving to 6.6 right now. I'll be glad to provide the VB6 source to one of the regulars here who is comfortable with 6.6 for them to compile for me.

Richard,

Is there a way I can recompile for 6.6 without impairing the ability to compile plugins for 6.505?

If so, I'll be glad to recompile the plugins for 6.6. I just don't want to move to 6.6 right now, as we're getting close to a product release.

Understandable.

If you send me the source I can compile it and make it available. Thanks.

Jim,

You can install 6.6 alongside 6.5, then just change the 3DC reference in the plugin project.

6.5 still works as before.

Richard,

It's in the mail, thanks!

Paul,

I can try that once I get the release sorted out but I didn't think that Win98se lets me distinguish between 3DC installs in the "references" window of the VB6 project.

Apparently, we've lost DEANVILLE as a developer (or he's being very very quiet).

Is there any way that Richard can continue to develop these excellent add-ons as "built-ins"?

Yes, I'd like to get these working again, but there is a lot on my plate these days. I have an old version of "piper" and permission to compile it. I'm looking to see if I have the foundry source and permission.

The main problem I have right now is that my development computer is not capable of compiling for 6.6. I'll have to set up another computer with the development environment.

I'll add a note to myself to get to work on it.

I have a PC set up with 6.6 and VB6 if you need it compiled.

Ack! Reports of my demise are rather premature Smile. Still plugging away here on many models that will eventually see the light of day, but family time has encroached in the form of a rather precocious granddaughter.

Let me see where I salted the plugin sources away and decide whether I can move to 6.6 soon. If I can't I'll be glad to ship 'em to Richard or Paul for the groups use.

Anybody try VB 2005 Express Edition for compiling plugins yet?

Deanville.

OK, I now have 6.6.10 installed on an XP system. Need to do some checking to see if my older models load. After that I'll take a stab at compiling the plugins with VB6.

Hmmmm, having a serious texture issue with 6.6.10 at present with 6.5.0 created models, see post in general discussion.
