Hope I'm not flooding, but I'm having all sorts of fun stuff happen. Maybe this is a bug, not sure.
Short version: Composd a human character model from a cube, committed to smooth level 2, added textures, added eyes, added skeleton (one on the right from the library). Then I added single bones for fingers, some I placed well enough they fell in hierarchy, some not. I maually placed the balance in hierarchy. Set bones range effects to skin. The model is functional as such, does mostly what I want it to, with a few oddnesses, previously such as divide locking up and autosmooth not effecting all faces. The model in this stage has been compacted and compressed. Faces: 7519. Points:8537. I'm trying to find a way to fix up the model, a couple of rows won't autosmooth. When I try to turn bones effects off, it tosses the newly placed fingers all over the scene, which drags the assigned skin with it. Thus I can't do tests such as the object repair script, or really any additional editing, as I can't get back to edit mode without exploding the fingers. The hand envelope was placed over the fingers originally to drag them with the arm movement. Not sure if this is part of the problem, overlapping envelopes. Can't seem to get very much further on repairing the model, as I seem to be causing more damage trying to repair it. |
