Texture Tiling - rounding error?|

I am building a 600m long platform, dead straight, so I have uses 600m long faces to keep the poly count down, and tiling textures to keep up a good definition. However, the edging stones texture includes a white paint stripe, and shows a strange effect. At one end, the texture is correctly applied, with the white stripe at the edge of the tarmac face, but by the other end, it is offset.
Would a fix for this problem be possible please? I am using 6.5.0.7 Texture File: Both ends of the 600m platform, showing offset effect: |

Hello Ian,
I think the problem is caused by the accuracy of applying the texture to the model. It seems as if the texture is applied a bit distorted and this minor abbreviation is added to the next tile. I think you can try to apply the texture with scripting. Doing so you'll have far more control to the whole process. You can send me your texture file and I can do some testing with scripting if you want. Regards Roman |
