I don't know if this is a bug, or something I am doing wrong. Either way, it seems I can't export to MD2.
I spent around 3-4 hours skining this mesh, and when I was done I attached some bones and got it ready for animation.. But when I try to export it to MD2, it says it's not textured, and wont let me.. I exported animations to MD2 before using the same method I used with this mesh, but now it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks, Jesse. |

You need to disconnect the bones temporarily to texture the model. Just select the skin and then press the "disconnect bones" button on the right toolbar (I forget the exact name). Note that you may need to hide the bones temporarily using the button on the main toolbar. Once you have textured you can re-connect the bones using the same button used to disconnect them.

I think I may have figured out what was going on. I had a lot of layers, so many that the program bugged up causing the layers to become inactive and/or distorted. Thats why I couldn't export. I had about 30-35 layers, is that good or bad? And how can I avoid that?
Thanks. |
