Received the error "3DCEditport7a Run-time Error '0'" on trying to change from a multi window view to a single window view. A complete uninstall and purge of 3DC folders followed by a re-install fixed the problem.
Sequence: - Closed 3DC with an empty scene and 4 view windows open. - Opened 3DC, had empty scene, 4 windows. - Selected "View, single window" and received the above error. - Restarted 3DC without recovering "last project" - Selected "View, two windows" which worked correctly. - Closed 3DC with an empty scene and 2 view windows open. - Opened 3DC, had empty scene, 2 windows. - Selected "View, single window" and received the above error again. Re-install fixed all, back in business. Deanville |

Problem has happened again, full uninstall, purge and reinstall necessary. This time an "integer divide by zero" error was reported.

I had this twice this evening, it has to do with the camera mode.
Easy to reproduce; 1. Select view / view selection / single window 2. Right click, select camera/animation 3. Select view / view selection / 4 windows 4. Select view / view selection / single window And bang there is the error. 3DCEditport7a Run-time Error '0' Quick fix, If you are brave enough to use the register-editor Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\3D Canvas 7\Application And find the entry. XFView00UseAnimationCamera It is a bit down the list. Change this value from True to False. (This might be case sensitive, so watch the capital F) Changing values in the registry is at your own risk, don't do this if you do not know what you are doing, and always make a backup of the registry first. Thanks Gerrit,
I'll give it a try after backing up the registry the next time it happens. Deanville |

I am having the same issue. Once I open up the view to more than one view I cannot revert to a single view. To get around this I just use the two window view and scale the 2nd view down as small as possible (grabbing its top edge and pulling it down). This expands the top view as the bottom view is reduced. This is definitely a bug. I am using the latest 7 release and Vista.
