So I bought myself a windows vista ultimate 32 bit version. I installed 3d canvas and it ran fine but after I registered it and installed the pro upgrade I started getting error #372 (unable to configure directx etc) every time I try to run it. I uninstalled and tried to run the unregistered version again but it didn't work now either. I have the latest video card drivers. Any way to fix this?

Have you turned off the User Account Control in Vista? It has to be on for 3d canvas to run.
Otherwise, I don't know.

Ah that solved it, thank you. Too bad I have to turn on UAC to use canvas, it's infinitely annoying.

I get this under x64 even with UAC turned off (it has to be for Visual Studio to behave itself properly)

I think you can change the settings of Vista somewhere to allow a program to run as though user account control is off.

I have the same problem with having UAC off for Visual Studio. I know there is a way to turn it on and have Visual Studio work correctly, but I haven't got to it yet. It's on my (very large) list.
