Hi Richard,

It seems that 3D Canvas do not remove the original points after having applied the chamfer operation on one or more edges of an object.

If I take a cube, at beginning, we have 6 faces and 8 points.
If I chamfer two edges, the result is 8 faces and 16 points instead of 8 faces and 12 points.

Thanks.

Robert

Yes, it looks like it isn't optimizing. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not. It could be intentional in order to support the post-chamfer scaling feature. I can't say for certain without looking into it. In the mean time, many other operations will optimize your objects when applied to it. Also, you can use the optimize operation.

I also think there is often automatic optimizing when a file is being exported. This will depend on the format being exported to.
