Hey, I just bought 3D Canvase Pro and am trying to upgrade to it using the help menu like in the instructions through the demo. The version that worked before was 6.5.1.0, but now it doesn't work at all. It keeps saying to upgrade dx and vid drivers, but I have the latest my computer can handle.

Pentium III 1.0 Ghz, Windows 98 SE
Direct X 9.0c June 2007
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with Catalyst 6.2 drivers

That is over what the Readme Requirements are.

I don't know what to do. I've asked the dbp forums, emailed someone, and emailed amabilis support, which failed since they were on vacation. And now I'm here. Please respond as soon as possible.

I have no clue how active this forum is, or how long it takes for the average "help" reply takes.

Hi

You really need some input from Richard here but you didn't mention if you are trying to install the latest V7 release.
Also you are running Windows 98, this could also be a problem as MS no longer support this version of windows.
Not sure how 3DC handles it but I think Richard also dropped the support for Windows 98.

I'm using the same card as you but my drivers aren't as up to date as yours.
You should be able to have V 7 and V 6.5 inatalled at the same time but it may be worth uninstalling v 6.5 and then installing the latest V 7 realease...see if that works.

That's just it, I already said I'm using version 6.5.1.0 as that's the last version to work on Windows 98. It use to work before my cmputer crashed, when I still had 98,and nVidia Geforce 2, and still had directx 9.0c. I don't know why it's not working. So if I could get Richard to help me as you said he might, I would be greatfull. I will try uninstalling this version and install ver. 7,but I highly doubt it will work as it says in the Readme that it requires like 2000, or XP, or higher.
