I would like to change the direction an Aircraft <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
I can use the ExportASC Plugin modified to do this…
Like This Meteor :

To This in BoB (Battle of Britain by Rowan) :
Notice the Meteor X, Y and Z Co-ordinates have changed using my modified ExportASC Plugin…so that it is facing the correct way for take off and also is not on it’s side <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

But can I do this in 3DC…?
I’ve tried right click on Aircraft (Shift selects all Objects ?)
and in properties changed andnbsp;the X,Y and Z coordinates, but it does not change to these on Export…there are 5 co-ordinates to select on top bar (World Co-ordinates…?)
Or there is Rotation Axis Tool and this does not seem to work for me…I’m possible doing something wrong ? Or do I need to use the shift (Yellow box on the right bar)
Tool at the same time ?
Or what is the best way to do this ?
I know I can build the Aircraft from scratch to be in the correct direction and position, but this is for Importing MSFS Models and Modifying and Exporting them…so ALL games have there own personal ideas on what is X, Y and Z andnbsp;:

Alan
Thank you andnbsp;
I will try the 1st idea..looks good !
I could also modify the ExportASC Plugin…But there are so many different X, Y and Z Co-Ordinate cominations for different flie formats that I thought it would be better to write the ExportASC for one direction/Position of Aircraft only and as long as it is posible to change the co-ordination in 3DC to that Direction/Position it would be quicker/easier hopefully <!– s;) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt="

Just thought….
Maybe the exporter could be altered to allow for you to enter a rotation ?

Have a look at the andquot;normalizegroupsandquot; plugin – I think this is what you are after……
It allows you to rotate the model to the direction you want and then resets the orientation back to 0,0,0 but the model stays pointing in the same direction.
(hope that makes sense and is what you are after…)
